Day 6- Furniture & IKEA

Tuesday September 22nd, 2009

Yaaaay! I’m sooo excited! We finally found the perfect couches! They are all pure white. I can’t wait for them to come. They said they will deliver them by next Wednesday. So I was thinking, “Now I have to go find a white coffee table, white side tables, white T.V. table, and a white area rug”. First thing that came to mind was IKEA! So we went to check it out. They had the coffee table, the side tables, and even the rug. But when I was there, I was thinking… “Maybe I will look at other places and see what they have”. If all fails, I will come back to get them from IKEA.
After IKEA, I had Bassam take me to Samia’s house since I haven’t gone there for Eid. I had bought Hamoody and Badoory and Samia some Eid gifts and I wanted to give it to them. I also took with me a basket of candies. Hamoody was soo excited to get his gift. It was a Batman remote control truck. Badoory wasn’t there so he wasn’t able to open his gift. Samia also loved her watch, it was an Ann Klein (AK) watch that I had bought for her from America from Macy’s (oh, how I miss that place!).

Afterwards, Samia ordered some pizza from Little Caesar’s. I never had Little Caesar’s in America, so I couldn’t really compare it, but it tasted alright. It was nice eating pepperoni and knowing 100% that it was halal and not pork!

At around 1 am, Bassam came to pick me up. He had just went to the barber and got a haircut, that I personally, did NOT like! But he says that it will grow fast. We went to pick up some rice for Bassam and then went home.

It’s almost 3 am now and I’m not that sleepy. But I have to force myself to sleep so I can fix my sleeping pattern. I go back to work this coming Saturday and I don’t want to be sleepy at work.
