The conference has finally arrived!!!
The first day was hectic, long, fun, busy, nerve-wrecking, long, crazy, interesting, and very long! But at the end, it was ALL worth it!
I was there by 7:45 am with boxes of brochures and fliers that my brother brought me from the men’s campus last night. My husband helped me carry them to the gate, and then I had to actually carry them myself to the waiting area, since my husband wasn’t allowed inside the campus. One of the student volunteers came with the golf cart and helped me carry the boxes to the place of the event. We set up an area with booths that had different business setting up their fliers and brochures and whatever they wanted to pass out. We of course, were in charge of setting up the Entrepreneurship Center’s area. The volunteers did an excellent job setting up.
At around 11 am, a driver came and picked a professor and myself to take us to another campus, which is part of my university. We had to conduct our first workshops there, the first day, and then do them again tomorrow at the main campus. My workshop was titled “How to Start Your Small Business: Step by Step”.
The experience was amazing! About 38 students showed up, which is more than we expected, but nevertheless, it turned out just great, al7emdalla!
At 4 pm, it was over, and I passed out surveys to the students to see how I did. The driver came at around 4:20 and took the other professor home, than he took me home. As soon as I saw my bed, I crashed! I slept for about 3 hours without even realizing it! I guess it’s finally catching up to me.
Let’s hope tomorrow will be just as interesting as today!
Much Love, HKA in KSA
