After a long day at work (I will try to minimize my entries about work, unless something really worth mentioning happens there), I went home to an apartment that had no electricity! I got a call from Kristi while we were driving home and she was telling me how the lights just went out. The first thing that came to my mind was the electricity bill. To be honest with you, I still don’t know exactly how that works or even how and when we’re supposed to pay for the electricity. I wanted to see if it was just her apartment or the whole building. But as soon as we are arrived to the building, it was clear that it wasn’t just Talal and Kristi’s place, it was the whole building.
After attempting to reach the landlord many, many times, he finally answered and said he will bring out an electrician with him. After about 2 hours, the electrican did indeed come, only to find out there is a glitch with the main fuse box outside. At the point, we left to our way to Hana’s, where Bassam dropped me off.
Shortly after my arrival, Kristi showed up with baby Karoomi. We had fun, talking and eating. Hana actually cooked rice and meat, but I only had a salad with some of the lamb meat. She also made both her famous coffee and her famous latte/cappuccino drink that she always makes. It was deeelicous!
We got home around 10:30, so I hope I will be able to go to bed early tonight.
