Day 38- MANGO Saved the Day!

Saturday October 24th, 2009

As the time for the conference is finally arriving (tomorrow!), we were working like crazy chickens with our heads cut off all day!! All the last minute things that were overlooked or postponed before, HAD to be addressed today. We had a lot of student volunteers who were eager to help and we were grateful that they did. All and all, it was a crazy day at work, but I honestly think we are ready for tomorrow inshAllah.

After work, I had to address another issue, and that’s the issue of skirt #2! I found a black one yesterday from MANGO, but I still another skirt for day 2. We decided to hit Riyadh Gallery, as it is big and has tons of shops. To my extreme disappointment, I could NOT find anything! I couldn’t believe the styles that were out and the fabrics that were equally unfit for a professional conference! I gave up on Riyadh Gallery and decided to go somewhere else. At this point we were even more frustrated as yesterday, as we had only a couple hours before the shops closed and I would be left with no skirt.

Finally, I remembered another branch of MANGO that is not located inside a ball, instead it’s all by itself near Kingdom Tower mall. Even though we were at MANGO yesterday, I had a little bit of hope in finding something that I didn’t see or this location might carry since it’s a really big store. Not even 1 minute after walking into the store, I found it! It was a long, dark turquoise, skirt, that came tight and then flair a little at the bottom. The best part was that I had a nice blazer/jacket that would match it perfectly!

When we got back into the car, my husband said, “Next time you need a long, dressy skirt for work, please come to MANGO first, so we could avoid all that searching we did at the malls!” He is soooo right.

Much Love, HKA in KSA
